Teachers Pagespacer
Our Preschool teachers are under the direct supervision from The Preschool Educational Director Michelle Messier and Founder Terra Tominelli.  Terra has had over 17 years helping to educate children in Sarasota County. Terra Tominelli and Michelle Messier also have all the necessary Florida educational degrees and credentials   for teaching and being a director and owner.  "Miss Terra" and Miss Michelle" are devoted to all the children and parents.

The Teaching Team are all trained in CPR and First Aid, Universal Precautions, and Early Childhood Education.  The TerraNichol Academy of the Arts teachers have the necessary Florida educational degrees and credentials for teaching early childhood. We do hire and accept teachers that are interning or are working on completing their degrees in Early Childhood Field. We feel our program is a great site for mentoring and training first year teachers!

The six teachers that are presently employed at TerraNichol Academy of the Arts have all met all the teaching standards recommended by NAC for early childhood programs. With a mixture of educational degrees, our teachers are devoted to helping the children succeed with more than the average Preschool education.

The Teaching Team here at TerraNichol Academy are required to go through a special 3 month training program with the founder Terra Tominelli to be trained in our unique program and teaching style.

"A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove . . . . but the world maybe different because I was important in the life of a child." - Kathy Davis -

  Partners

I dreamed I stood in a studio,
And watched two sculptors there.
The clay they used was a child's mind,
And they fashioned it with care.

One was a teacher; the tools used,
Were books and music and art.
One, a parent with guiding hands,
A gentle and loving heart.

Day after day the teacher toiled,
With a touch both deft and skilled.
The parent labored side by side,
And all the values filled.

And when at last their task was done,
They looked at what they'd wrought.
The beautiful shape of the precious child,
Could neither be sold nor bought.

And each agreed it would have failed,
If one had worked alone.
For behind the parent stood the school,
And behind the teacher, home.
